Dino Bektesevic is at his best in complex cases, and he can explain them to clients in plain, accessible terms. He acts in high-profile proceedings, including fraud cases and appeals in cassation. Because of his expertise, fellow lawyers regularly bring him in as second counsel.
He completed the Togamaster (a master’s programme preparing students for practice at the Bar) and the master’s programme in criminal law (cum laude) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. At the request of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands, the highest court in the country, he carried out internal research into the selection of cassation cases.
Alongside his practice, Dino is a senior lecturer in the professional training for the Bar. He also teaches criminal law and criminal procedure at the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology at Utrecht University. In addition, he sits on the Netherlands Bar committee that advises the legislature on criminal law bills, and on the editorial board for the legal profession section of the academic journal Delikt & Delinkwent. In 2025 he was a member of a committee that assessed election manifestos against the rule of law on behalf of the Netherlands Bar.

Registered areas of law
Dino Bektesevic has registered the area of criminal law in the register of areas of law kept by the Netherlands Bar.
On the basis of this registration, each calendar year ten training credits must be obtained in this area of law, in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
