Igoné de Bruijne knows the criminal courts from the inside. She spent five years working for the district court and the Court of Appeal, and so understands not only how a judge arrives at a decision but also what can turn a case around on appeal. She now puts that knowledge to work for her clients.
Igoné obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminal law (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam. She went on to work as a law clerk at the district court and the Court of Appeal, where she was involved in a large number of criminal cases. That experience means she is quick to see where the opportunities in a case lie, both at first instance and on appeal.
