Tobias Wouters builds his defence on a thorough command of the case file and on legal insight. He sees what other lawyers miss. Tobias represents clients across a wide range of criminal cases, cassation cases among them.
He completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminal law (both cum laude) at Utrecht University. Tobias spent years gaining experience in criminal investigations and joined the VCAS, the specialist association of cassation lawyers in criminal cases. He has been a partner at Bektesevic Ter Steeg Advocaten since 2026.

Registered areas of law
Tobias Wouters has registered the area of criminal law in the register of areas of law kept by the Netherlands Bar.
On the basis of this registration, each calendar year ten training credits must be obtained in this area of law, in accordance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar.
